My friend got her genetic tests back and has the MTHFR mutation. ALL of the research says she needs to avoid anything with the added folic acid and only focus on the natural folate foods. I wanted her to try Soylent to help her with her digestive issues (leaky gut) as part of an elimination diet but I read the ingredients and saw folic acid listed. Does Soylent then have added folic acid (what she needs to avoid) or is that listed because 25% folate is part of the nutrients?
Sorry to say Soylent does have added folic acid. You can always make her a DIY recipe.
