Just curious, but was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how the 2:1 caffeine to l-theanine ratio in Cafe Vanilla was determined. Most folks I’ve seen suggest that the inverse ratio would be more ideal. I frankly don’t have a clue as I’ve never experimented with l-theanine before. Just wondering what the approach was in settling on that.
We looked at the research around the ingredient and its impact and what we were left with was that the 1:2 ratio would suit the needs of the bulk of Coffiest / Cafe consumers.
Hi. I looked around a little online and saw some recommending 2 parts L-theanine to 1 part caffeine. It looks like RL is doing the opposite. I got some L-theanine and took a 100 mg capsule with a cup of tea, and ended up feeling groggy, altho I can’t say for a fact what the cause of my fatigue was. So the jury is still out with me and L-theanine. But I do find the RL Cafe drinks to be stimulating and enjoyable to drink, so I think they are doing something right.
