Flavoring with LorAnn Oils

#1

I got a bunch of flavors of LorAnn superstrength oils and unfortunately, almost all of them were a bust. Only creme de menthe, mint chocolate chip and root beer could even be detected at all, but they did taste pretty good. Has anyone tried the Perfumer’s Apprentice (https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/) oils?

Vanilla (LorAnn sells double-strength vanillas, so you use less) + orange oil makes for a LorAnn creamsicle. I haven’t used it since 1.4 (I’m better with the unmodified flavor of 1.5), but the amount I needed per serving to get a good flavor was measured in drops.

LorAnn recommends the “flavor fountain” “ice cream and beverage” flavors for “drinks & shakes”. has anyone tried these rather than the oils (meant for candies)?

I actually just received the flavor fountain french vanilla syrup just minutes ago and used the suggested amount (1 tsp per 16oz) and didn’t taste anything. Added an additional tsp and still couldn’t really taste anything. Just a slight hint maybe.

I’ve used the Flavor Fountain Mint Chocolate, and New York Cheesecake, though not with 1.5, which I haven’t flavored. They both taste like they should.

For vanilla flavoring, you want to get one of their 2-Fold Vanilla Extracts. They’re very concentrated and you won’t need anywhere near that much to taste them. (Add it in drops, or at least in 1/8 or maybe 1/4 teaspoons per serving, or you’ll probably be overwhelmed.)
