My soylent recipe

#1

Thought I’d share what I’ve put together and have been using, recipe follows.

Opti-Men Multivitamin 3 Pills, grind in mortar and pestle, add to mix
Iron (Dissolve in Olive Oil before adding) 18mg
Potassium 2.6 grams
Magnesium 300mg
Fiber 50 grams
Table Salt w/ Iodine 1 tsp (or to taste, that’s how salt works)
Maltodextrin 550 grams
Whole Milk 5 cups
Whey Protein 125 grams
Eggs (heated to 165* not cooked) 2
Olive Oil 1.5tbsp - Iron goes in here, don’t forget

To mix, put all ingredients save half the milk into a blender, mix until smooth. In another larger container, maybe an easy-pour one, add the rest of the milk and the mixture from the blender, being sure to get it all out! Shake or otherwise mix thoroughly.

Supplements absent which are covered by foods:
Vitamin K - Olive Oil
Calcium - Milk, Whey Protein
Choline - Eggs
Phosphorous - Milk, Whey Protein
Potassium - Milk, Whey, Supplement
Sulfur - Eggs
Total 3600 Calories (I’m way larger than the average human)

To scale down to a 2000~ calorie diet:

200 grams Maltodextrin
1 tbsp Olive oil
50g total protein (50-(protein in milk + protein in eggs))
3.3 grams potassium

Nice. How many times a day do you drink it and are do you feel full?

#3

I drink it whenever I’m hungry, which is about 1 pint every 4 hours (makes 4 pints). Satiates my hunger just fine!

#4

what did you do to adjust the numbers based on your size?

#5

great. Thanks for posting this.

I started off at about 3000 calories and then just followed my cravings. If I craved sugar, more carbs. Fat, more oil. Meat, more protein. I’m at 4300 calories a day right now and staying at 220 pounds. Actually I have an updated recipe with the nutrition profile hashed out, I’ll paste it in here.
