Questions regarding Cooking

So I hear many people mention cooking their oat flour before using it help with the digestion. I have not started soylent and am in the process of collecting information and materials. I usualy have an iron stomach and could deal with the raw flour but I plan on getting my fiance on this as well (LOL I am the test dummy)

So…how exactly do i cook it?

I don’t bother cooking my oat flour, but if I understand correctly, just spread it out on a shallow pan and put it in the oven for a while. Maybe someone else can advise how long and at what temperature? :stuck_out_tongue:

Another thing you could try is soaking the oats instead of baking them.

I plan on using soy flour instead of Oat Flour. What do you mean by soaking the flour?

If you’re planning on using soy, I don’t think you’ll need to do any extra prep. For the oats, people would soak them in water overnight, then drain before mixing that day’s batch.
