Thanks for an excellent topic. I knew it would quickly go off course, just the nature of the theme, I guess. However, it was a refreshing departure from the “Where’s my Soylent?” posts that have taken root in the forum. In contrast, your topic was good, thought-provoking, Soylent-related discussion. I’m still surprised that some people in that topic are over 30 years old yet they hadn’t learned that you respect a person, not their beliefs.
In order for a belief to be respected it must undergo a rigorous screening based on evidence based reasoning.

The implications of apriori respecting someone’s beliefs are quite ludicrous and dangerous.


Can we please, please not do this here?
