Soylent premiers with the Mariinsky Ballet Company

I’m performing as a supernumerary at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. (“Supernumerary” is a fancy word for a ballet extra.) All the other supers were measured and costumed Monday night, but because I was a late addition, I showed up Tuesday morning for a rehearsal, then dress rehearsal, before the first performance.

The Kennedy Center invites patrons to view dress rehearsals. They saw a beautifully-costumed La Bayadère, and one fan holder in Act I wearing a Soylent tee shirt. And one princess litter carrier in Act II wearing a Soylent tee shirt.

(A non-Soylent related note: supers get paid $10/performance; discounted “guest artist” parking costs $11/performance.)
