The general consensus on Maltodextrin


I’ve been reading up a lot on Maltodextrin on this forum today, and come across many differing opinions. Does anyone have any idea, hopefully scientifically based, on just how much is safe to add to a soylent mix, if the maltodextrin in question is derived from corn.

I’m looking to gain weight with a mix of 60% carbs, which would equate to around 450 grams, which is a lot. What mix would be best to prevent any unwanted side effects and avoid potentially dangerous blood sugar spikes?

Would a mix of oats, maltodextrin and palatinose do the trick?
