Has anyone else noticed any changes in urine color while on soylent? Currently, I have extremely florescent yellow colored urine. What could be causing that?
I do believe… That it’s your body getting rid of excess B2 or C. Which is nothing to be worried about… - But don’t take my word for it. xD
Thanks, and yeah, I am sure it is excess of something. I believe it is due to B2 then.
My urine is also more yellow and has a stronger smell compared to what it was before. I might be wrong, since it’s been a long time I studied this, but I think it might also be related to an increase in the amounts of proteins I’m eating daily, which causes me to waste more urea.
This was extremely common for me on multivitamins - every time I took one my urine would be fluorescent that day. However I have not experienced this crushing my multivitamin into soylent.
I figure this means one of two things, either my body absorbs those particular vitamins better when crushed and taken over the day.
Or the same amount is excreted and it’s just sufficiently diluted at any one time to be completely unnoticeable - which is quite possible.
There is a 50 years old German candy/drop containing some vitamins - you’re supposed to have 2 of them a day to supplement your vitamin intake.
2 of them would be 25% (RDA) Vitamin C, 30-40% of B1, B2, B6, E …and a few others.
Every time I eat 5-6 of them my urine gets quite yellow after about 3 or 4 hours.
So, I’d also say it’s normal and is just due to unabsorbed vitamins. If you are only adding a recommended amount of vitamins to your soylent and experience this, it might be a good idea to have smaller “meals” more often. Might waste less
