Vegan/Plant Based

@soylent_team , does Rosa Foods/Soylent have any plans for returning to being a plant-based/vegan product?

What is preventing it from using those labels now?

I’m pretty sure that all Rosa Foods are still vegan. What makes you think that they stopped? What ingredient do you see on the label that is not vegan or plant based?

Same here, I’ve never known Soylent to not be “vegan”. It just barely couldn’t qualify as “gluten free” but “vegan” is a label I have always understood to apply.

When 1.9 came out they took the “vegan” claim off the packaging so I initially wasn’t sure if they had to go with an animal-derived ingredient for something. I emailed and their response was as follows:

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are committed to making vegan products. Our newest version of Soylent powder is completely vegan.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to be in touch.

They wouldn’t say why they took away the vegan claim, but I think it has to do with the word “vegan” having negative connotations to taste for many consumers.
