Whey protein concentrate or isolate?


Sprouts Farmers Market carries both unflavored Whey Protein Concentrate and Isolate with the Isolate being more expensive.
Are these adequate alternatives to buying the flavored Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard suggested in some of the recipes?
Its more affordable to buy this protein locally from sprouts in bulk than to buy online from Amazon.
Its also unflavored which may or may not be a good thing. Its certainly a more pure source and not contaminated with artificial flavorings.


Isolate is better for you as it has no lactose.


Is there another advantage to the whey protein isolate than that it’s lactose free? That is, for those of us who aren’t lactose intolerant, is there any reason we should we use whey isolate exclusively?


Not really there’s nothing hindering you from using hemp protein, casein, quinoa or milk for protein etc.
